Welcome To Egg Chase

Egg Chase has been set up as part of our commitment to the Thanet Wanderers Schools and Community Programme.

This Rugby Activity page is designed to provide some entertainment, knowledge and fun activities to help keep our School Children, Community Members, Club Members and Rugby Friends engaged during the current situation.

The page will stay live until further notice and the competitions will run until 30th June 2020 and can be completed by any School Child (from Year R to Year 12), any parent, guardian or carer, any coach and any rugby player.

The page includes competitions, links to informative videos, online learning (such as Headcase concussion learning where parents can do this too, and some simple base exercises to try. Some simple research is required to answer the competitions followed by an answer in your own words which is where the effort really counts!

Each Week

Each week we will publish our favourite 'Answer of the week'.

Each week we will list the top three schools (Senior and Primary) and rugby clubs for the number of submitted modules.

Each week Tom will be adding his favourite Tom's Challenge video.

After 30th June

After the 30th June we will award the Senior School, with the most completed submissions, with 20 pairs of rugby shorts and socks and the leading Primary School with a set of training balls.

After the 30th June we will select our favourite answers for the following year groups YR-Y3 (U7-8), Y4-Y6 (U9-11), Y7-Y9 (U12-14) and Y10-12 (U15-17) and the winners will each receive a tremendous 'stash pack'...

Answer of the Week

A great answer from Shakira (Y9) of CCGS was chosen as this week's 'answer of the week'.

"My favourite comment was by Royce Cadman, because he was giving great advice within it and you can tell he followed those steps to get where he is at today. To me, this comment shows equality within the rugby community, as he says that it doesn’t matter what level or standard you are at, you should always give it your best shot at trying. I believe that he is right in saying that if you don’t enjoy the game then you will not succeed, because you must enjoy an activity to get more involved in it in order to get better."

Well said Shakira
